If you want somewhat mapped trails you can check out Home, but it's probably about 4-5 hrs drive and you'll need to buy a day pass.

New owner , 2015 4runner limited

Hey guys!

Just picked up my 2015 Toyota 4runner limited! definitely pleased with the vehicle however has anyone had issues with the brakes? feels like i have to apply alot of pressure for it to stop, I am sure there is a forum on this but I cant find it. Any help would be appreciated!

Could be bad pads. Some replace with aftermarket pads which last long, but have little friction. I prefer soft pads which provide allot of friction for stopping power, but does not last long. OEM pads are good compromise. If you are not sure of the quality of the pads, just stick to OEM.

Been driving for almost 45 years now / 2 years ago, bought our 1st Toyota.
2008 RAV4 Limited v6-3.5L-269 HP, 4x4 with 89,x00 Km (55,x00 miles).
- found on London Kijiji, purchased from a Doctor
- wife's work commute & family vehicle, such a pleasure to own & drive...just turned 150,000 Km trouble free today

Dad & Doberman Kelly's new toy.
- this ones a keeper / purchased Jan. 2016...DD'er was a 2005 GMC Jimmy 4x4, so definitely a big improvement
- buddy purchased from a Dealer-2-Dealer auction, Toyota/Lexus St. Catherines, ON.
- a trade-in from the original owner / maintained at Lexus-Toyota dealer, since new

2000 Toyota 4Runner, SR5, 4x4, with low mileage and rust free (no E-Locker).
- my garage owner/friend, bought this vehicle specifically for me in mind
- immediately had fully undercoated, with a Fluid Film-wax oil type spray rustproofing

Original paint SUV - full truck frame / decent 5,300 lb tow capacity, was one of the buying attractions.

True 4x4 - with part time High & Low range / no E-locker.

3.4L, v6, auto with 80,520 original miles = 129,586 Canadian Km.

Loaded, but no moonroof...:cry2:

December 2015 - our son also became a proud Toyota owner, with a new 2015 Lexus RX350...it was a fun negotiation.

Thanks for the help, I'm taking it back to the dealer today as I picked it up last Friday, they told me they had done a full brake job. Maybe they didn't use the original pads.

Did you get it from Toyota Dealership or Used Car Dealership?

What did you had before you got into this vehicle? It could of been your perception as well. I have a friend who was driving Mini Cooper before he got Tundra and he complained about vehicle not being responsive for some time till he got used to it. I drove many vehicles in my life and you generally need to accostom to certain ones, especially when you switching type of the vehicle, like going from a sedan to SUV or Pick-up...

Got it from ken shaw Toyota ! I actually test drive it before they changed the brakes didn't feel nothing like this. And yesterday test drive my brother in laws 15' limited the reaction time on brakes was way better! Plus I've been getting a screeching sound from the brakes when I just hit it then stops when pushed all the way down! I had a 07 Infiniti g35x before this, I understand the response is different on different vehicles just worries that even after pushing the brakes down half way the car is just starting to slow down while cruising!

Got it from ken shaw Toyota ! I actually test drive it before they changed the brakes didn't feel nothing like this. And yesterday test drive my brother in laws 15' limited the reaction time on brakes was way better! Plus I've been getting a screeching sound from the brakes when I just hit it then stops when pushed all the way down! Usually when I change pads, the vehicle start breaking hard at small pushes of the pedal... 4Runner has long travel brake pedal, so it start grabbing at some point and not at the top of the pedal travel, but this is adjustable. My guess they might of adjust the brake pedal travel and may be parking brake as well, so it feel a bit different from before. Have you tried to press hard on brakes (slowly, but fully, so you don't active brake assist), do the wheels lock up? If they do at what level of braking? You my just need an adjustment of the brake force and pedal travel...

Most lines are meatloaf, so no expansion. The only rubber lines are end pieces at the front wheels and between the Rear axle and frame. I have replaced front to stainless steel many-many years ago when did a lift. Rubber lines can potentially be a problem when they overspending due to being old. You may ask them to check the condition of hard and rubber lines. In our Climite with salt on the road they tend to corrode after 10 years.

2018 TRD Off Road

Well, I have done it. Placed the order. Now need to think about a lift kit and upgraded tires. Looking for suggestions on 1) Lift, 2) GTA shop for installation, 3) Tires. Bring it on the more the merrier.
