Custom Skid Plates

Hey guys, since I have started off roading I have been looking at aftermarket skid plates. I like the RCI ones but they are quite a bit expensive. I then found a fab shop in Brampton where I took my truck in yesterday to get an idea of how much it would cost me to get my own custom plates done. (I do not know them personally nor do I get any special discount/rates)

RCI plates for front, transmission and transfer case are $750 USD before shipping and taxes. I am hopeful that these will run me a bit less than that.

I will have an estimate on how much it would run me in the next week or two. The question for the community is if there is interest for 4Gen skid plates. I should probably start a new thread but just trying to get a feel for interest in the most active thread.

I would definitely be interested in knowing how much a fab shop would charge for custom skid plates as I'm also looking into armour for my truck

Awesome. It will help if you have any info on dimensions, otherwise they can measure it on a truck. I will ask them this weekend for an update and will report back here.

Update on skid plates:

After checking with the local shop for several weeks it doesnt appear that they are serious about this work. I couldn’t even get them to tell me how much it was going to cost. So there goes that.

T4r 2019 gta

Hey guys,
I’m new to this forum. I love the T4R TRD PRO and finally placed an order and placed a deposit of $1000 specifically for a 2019 super white. It’s only been 3weeks but I’m getting more excited and keeping my hopes up. I went to 3 dealerships and all telling me it’s a long wait as each dealership has an allocated number of Pros available for 2019. Has any one here placed an order and received any updates on their order yet? Much appreciated.

I am new to this forum as well and I also just purchased a T4R TRD Pro.
I bought midnight black. The dealership told me they would get mine in by end of October beginning of November.

Did you get any further updates on yours partdpro?

From Maple, waiting on a 2019 Limited. Looking forward to learning from everyone.

Is there another T4R forum for Canadians?

Hey kayno, I ordered a white one but still waiting. Apparently I’m on a list but I’m starting to doubt the prioritization. Some dealerships are really picking and choosing who to sell to. If you want it, they will add all the extended warranty, rust proofing to jack up the price. Good luck on your midnight black, keep me posted on your outcome. Cheers

Welcome. I am all over east Oakville in my grey 2018 TRD Off Road with lift kit. Also with an OFAH sticker in the back window. When you see me send me a PM. We can set the boys up for a play date.

2019 Limited Blizzard Pearl owner here in Brampton. Looking forward to the meetups and mods. Anyone know if there's a T4R Whatsapp group?

Welcome to the Club of Limited 4Runners who use them as trail rigs...
Winch, Bumpers, Lift, Tires, Lockers, Snorkel are waiting.... Do you have anything in mind?

Hey bud, just curious, how long did you wait for your 2019 Limited Blizzard Pearl? My wait was about 3 months, and only because someone who was already waiting 6 months cancelled.

Sorry to hijack someone else's welcome :canada: I also just got a 2019 Limited Blizzard Pearl recently. Speaking of trail rigs, looking for spots around GTA or more north to do some beginner light offroading. Is this a good resource? http://www.of4wd.com/

Thanks!

Yes, they have organized runs and trail maps, for stock Limited trails rated 3 and over might be scary though. Also this site might be helpful:

Thanks scanny! I'll make sure to sign up at TnTT and introduce myself. Maybe I'll ask over there if they have some recommendations for some light nature runs north of Vaughan where I can take the kids. The of4wd has a membership fee - maybe when the mods get more serious beyond LED bulbs. :)

East of the GTA

Somewhere between Oshawa and Brighton. Recently took delivery of a new 2019 TRD Off Road. I'd love to find some basic trails in the area to get started on
