Right now I have a stock 2005 v8 sport t4r with Firestone Destination a/t 265/65/17 tires. I live in Southern CO, I drive on interstate 50 miles 2 times a day and when I go 70 my computer shows 22Mpg and when I calculate seems like im getting 20-21. When I go 80-85 It shows 18-19mpg on computer and I calculate 18-19. These are good dry conditions, low wind, and a generally flat drive. My question is does anyone out there have a lift and some more aggressive tires and still get 19+ mpg on interstate (or highway- when i go 55 on CO HWYs comp shows 22-24 mpgs).
Anyone getting 19+ MPG ?

I can and have gotten over 21mpg. Oh the good old stock days.
I get about 14ish now - I also drive like a mad-man so that explains a lot of it.
14ish on comp or calculated? What lift/tires do u have?

BFG's only - 265/70/17. No lift. I'm talking 85+ on farily "hilly" terrain. Haven't calculated in a while. I get about 290/tank before the light comes on.

Same here, with the stock dunlops. During a road trip last summer to Montana, i averaged ~22.3 mpg(calculated). Oh yeah, and with a V8!! :cheers:

I've had my 08 2wd V6 for about 2 weeks now. Computer usually reads about 21-22.5 mpg.
I use an app for my droid that keeps track of mileage, cost, etc.. Every time I fill up, I input the odometer reading, gallons/fill up and the price/gallon. My avergage is 19.44 That is mixed highway and city.

I can sqeeze out 17 mpg on a trip mixed 50/50 w/ 74 mph (interstate) and 60 mph (two lane highway). That is with cheap, heavy a/t's 265/70/17 in an 05' Sport V8. I aired up my tires to 38 psi, which is now 41 w/the warmer weather. I filled up ethanol free 93 octane and hit the interstate going 74. On a 46 mile trip I averaged 19.5. That quickly went down when I got off the interstate and into town. I also just replaced two frozen calipers, so I'm not sure why the better mpg, but I'll take it!
Oh yeah, on the way home w/ a strong head wind and lots of in town driving today, I never climbed back up over 15. Guess that's more like it!! I'll monitor my tire wear and see if I need to air back down a bit, but so far so good.

22 with a V8? You must have neutered 4 cylinders and have a size smaller that stock tires! Or are you setting the cruise on 55? J/K, I've just never seen ANY V8 pull that kind of MPG. Kudos to you if you get that, but sure isn't common.

I get a solid 19.8 compensated and calculated per tank of regular. I do this all week back and forth to work.
If I drive like I want to on-road I'm at about 17ish.
If I'm off road, ah you know.

I agree 100%, I also could get 20ish going 60. Wish I could get 22, but not gonna happen w/ my V8.

I get 18 during the week on my mostly highway drive to and from work (13 miles each way). The only way I can break 19 is if it's a long highway drive, I averaged 19.5 on a drive to the beach with no wind to speak of at night at about 70 degrees. Hope that helps.
PS: driving around town to and from the grocery store and such, I get 15-16.

I am getting 19 per computer and 18 calculated with city/highway mix. Seems my computer is always about 1 mpg lower than actual. This is consistent for the last few tanks and I have been babying it due to gas prices. Over the winter and when am not light footed and I average 16 calculated.

Getting 19-20 MPG with a V8? 30% better than the updated EPA estimate?? Very unlikely. Maybe the computer says 19, meaning ~17 actual - THAT I would believe.
I mean, think about it - the V6 owners have verified that it can reliably get 19-20 actual MPG with some moderate fuel saving techniques in mixed driving. So how does the V8 - which is making way more torque, more HP, is heavier, has two more cylinders and all-time 4WD - get the same fuel economy as the V6?? It doesn't add up.
