Anyone got these chrome door handles?

Maybe I'm missing something, but why not just buy the OEM ones? Toyota puts chrome on the SR5 or Sport models don't they?

I considered the OEM but I would imagine the cost would be insane. To be honest I would still have to look into it.
 
Are the OEMs stick on? Or is the handle made with that chrome look alike?

The ones Luxury bought, fit on top of the regular handles.

Why anyone would want them, is beyond me though :p
 
I while back I actually found a Japanese company that actually made real replacement chrome door handles. I contemplated it but never actually went through with it. They were sweet though.

Check with ToyotaPartsDirect or one of the other board sponsors. Usually, they can get OEM parts at 20%+ off.
 
My 06 SR5 came with factory chrome door handles.. I don't think it's just a cover. They look nice on the black 4Runner...
 
Hey webshot, I have the Putco door handle covers. They fit on top of the existing door handles and go on with 3M adhisive. The fit is great, I like them personally. I actually have one extra set still in box brand new, they were on backorder so long I cancled and ordered from another place, but they both still shipped. If you are interested let me know.

Are your pillars chromed? How did you do that! I like it.

I was online all day looking to get some. I called alot of places, and no one had a mold to make them, finnaly found a company that got the measurments and made a set for me.

"Sorry to stray off-topic, but do you have chrome trim around your side windows? I'm guessing it is just a reflection off the black, but it actually looks a lot like you have pimped those windows. I seriously considered doing that for a while but never did. If so please post some pics." The above is what I wrote in the 'Post pics of your T4R with 20inch wheels and bigger' thread, but I found this thread and thought it was a more relevant thread to ask about them. Do you have any other pics? Thanks. They look great BTW.
 
The chrome is not around the whole window, its just chrome on the door pillars. The only place I added chrome to the 4runner is the billet grill, door handles, exhaust, and door pillars. Some people don't like it, but I love the look it has and it is diff. from everyone elses 4runner. Here is a couple of pics, the dub decels are now removed.

They look great on yours. I wonder if the chrome would jump out too much on my black runner. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they run you and how are they connected?
 
They cost $174 for the 6 piece set. They are cut to the exact size of the pillars and go on with 3M add. same as the door handles. They have been on for about 6 or 7 weeks now, no problems and I love them.

Where did you order the pillar covers from? I am lloking to find a company that will make galactic gray covers or even primed for me to paint.
