Anyone has HID light kit?

Apparently they're decent, but be careful of glare. The bulbs are brighter than the reflector is designed to handle so the light glares off in random directions and piss other drivers off. Unless you convert to a projector, I'd say its not worth the money IMO.

Check out www.hidforum.com for more information.

not dot approved and will piss other drivers off... not good. so if i switch to projector headlights (much more $$ too i take it), are those dot approved?

If you get DOT projectors then yes. If you get ECE projectors then no. ECE are the European projectors which have a better beam pattern. Some people think that the Euro beam pattern is better, and 9/10 times the DOT won't even notice a difference in an inspection. I played it safe and got some BMW/Mercedes DOT bi-xenon projectors, they're made by Hella.

Still working on it, I've got the projector mounted in the reflector and the light painted and basically back together, just need to devise a shroud to cover the sides of the projector. After I do that I'll need to work on the wiring, and while I have it all drawn out I still need to actually wire it up. I don't think it will take too much time, but then again...

THEN after I figure this light out, I have to start all over and do the other side!

All in all I'd say the project is coming along great, so far it looks beautiful. Well worth it I'd say.

I have a 3 kits for my fog/low/high beams.. Love the brightness.. I rarely get flashed for my lights being too bright. Works great.
