Anyone have Progressive?

Some bas**** stole my spare tire, looks like the cable was cut. So I filed a claim and used the consierge (sp?) service.
I'm mildly worried that they will use a cheap rim as a replacement that's the same size (I demanded the same size and TPM replacement).

I shouldn't worry, but I can't help it, its my baby!

2 years ago my 2002 accord 2 door was re-ended by a dodge durango. I used the services provided by progressive. They did a terrible job. I just traded in my car 3 weeks ago for a 4runner and i found out i had frame damage on my car which they never told me about from the accident. Bas****s. I since dropped progressive. O yea btw my car was ready in 3 weeks but i made them fix the paint because it was hard as a rock and then i came back to get it 2 days later and my tailight wasnt right then i came to get it again the next day and tailight didnt work nor was the accord badge on the car. Watch them like a hawk!

I think he meant the theif cut the cable that suspends the spare from underneath the truck. There's a long thread in the problems and warranty subforum about how to prevent spare tire theft.

I should have done a search. I'll do one now. I wanted people who have Progressive to weigh in (I suppose I should search for that too).

No problem, wasn't implying you should've searched. I think you were more concerned with how Progressive would handle the claim. I mention the other thread in case anyone else is looking for ways to prevent theft of their spare.

Things actually worked out very well. They replaced the TPMS in the spare, put a decent tire on a pretty good rim, too (not brand new, but good). They even detailed the car for me. I'm actually pretty impressed with how Progressive handled everything. Now to just prevent that from happening again...

I use a 3' Krytonite cable. I understand it can be cut--it's a deterrent. If the theif is determined, they'll get the spare no matter what I do, just like those d-bags that stole the cat off my other car.
