Anyone have rough shifts?

I've noticed that sometimes when shifting from 1st to 2nd my transmission shifts rather hard...it's only sometimes, especially after I've been driving on the highway, other times its perfectly smooth like all the other shifts.

Am I looking to far into this, anyone else have this?

I have that too. First I thought that might be a driveshaft but then I lubricated it just a month ago  It only happens from 1st to 2nd I think, at least I dont remember feeling that in other gears. Under word "hard" I would explain it as shifting with bang, not loud, or harsh, just not very smooth. Same feeling I had on my Audi transmission as soon as I rebuild it, it was ok to drive but wasnt silky smooth as before.

EXACTLY! I was actually gonna use the word bang but I didn't want it to sound too intense. I mean I doubt there is anything wrong it just so frustrating sometimes when it does it and i wanted to see if I was the only one who noticed it.

According to my service records my transmission was serviced (oil change) just before I bought it. May be they didn't filled it properly. I have 2.5 years of warranty left :) so I need to figure out whats wrong with it before it goes

I have the same issue, after a long highway trip, the downshift isn't as smooth. I had my fluid changed when I bought it, and had the level checked a couple weeks afterward- all was fine...

It's good to hear there are others with the same symptoms... I hope it's nothing. I've never had the trans temp light come on, and fluid dosn't smell burned- so I hope I'm good to go.

yeah, everything is good on mine as well...fluid is full, red, and sweet like normal.

I suppose if we were hearing about trannys needing replacement, then we could worry...

Personally, I think it's when the trans downshifts two gears, that's when it is most noticable to me.
