Anyone have the Stealthbox?

I am looking for a better sound quality in my 4runner, as most of us are. I also have a really good JBL amp that I could install with the Stealthbox. So if you have a Stealthobx, how do you like it and does it take up much room?

That is a waste of money. Many have installed an 8" sub in the stock location. I however have a full blown 3.5k watt system.

I looked at them this weekend. Love the product, hate the price. They're WAY too much unless you REALLY need the sub hidden. $607 w/o the amp is a bit much.

I'm planning a small box, Memphis 10" with a Kicker 300.1 and it should be about $250 or less... that's a HUGE difference in price... too much for me to justify anyways.

If you don't have OEM JBL and do not have the skills to build a box, this is a good alternative. Expensive, yes, but if you need the cargo space then it's a price you have to pay. It's either build your own or buy it, some prefer just to buy for simplicity's sake. As far as I know, there's no other box made like this.

I use the JL Stealthbox powered by a large Fosgate amp from the 90's. The sub performs well, fits well, looks great. It does not do anything amazing. The bass seems to focus on lower frequencies and has a noticable bump around 30Hz. Not a big deal for most people but I would prefer a flater in car response. It can be driven very hard with little distortion and very little chance of failure.

I work in the industry and got mine at cost, even at cost the performance is harly a bargan but it looks great and performs very well for a single 10.

Had the older version in my '97 and I loved it...I had both a big boxed 12" and the Stealthbox for when I needed cargo space.

Amazing sound for such a small box...price is crazy high though as others have said.

I don't have a stock location to put an 8" sub in.... I have a NON JBL 4runner so where the sub would be is a cargo hole with a first aid kit and random crap in it.
