anyone have these rims??

so when i get home from working im gonna follow up my 3 inch ome lift with some new rims and tires. i was just wondering if anyone has tryed these out or knows if they'll work out alright with a 285 75 16 wrapped around them?... the rims i was looking at arehttp://www.americanracing.com/browse_ar.asp
i was lookin at the 16x8 with 4,97 backspace and 12 offset. any suggestions???

I tried to open the link like ten times and it wouldn't open.

16x8 will fit 285's because I believe our stock rims are 16x8. I'm not sure about the offset and backspace.

5" backspace is cutting it very close. I would look at a wheel with at leasts a 4.5" backspace for that tire.

Also, is that a negative or positive offset? It makes a difference.

The backspace for stock wheels is 4.625". Just for reference.

I run 4.5" B.S. wheels with a -12mm offset. 17X9 with 35X12.50X17 Trxus M/T's.

I clear the upper A-arms by about 1/2" and rub the frame at full lock. For my tire size I should be running 3.5" backspace. Hope that all helps!

it is a +12 offset, i am just looking to get a widerstance aswell as fit a 285 but the 275 are farly close to rubbing the upper arm .....

Those wheels will probably not work. A positive offset moves the wheel centerline closer to the vehicle. A negative offset moves the wheel centerline out away from the vehicle. Or rather the mounting surface of the wheel.

I'd look for something else. Or at the very least find a shop that is willing to let you test fit the wheel/tire combo.

I think you can run 285's on stock wheels.
