Anyone install 3M clear bra themselves? Difficult?

I just bought a 2011 Runner and in my 2005 I had the Canadian bug shield but I like the look of the clear bra...just not the price. I see you can get DIY kits for about $250 as opposed to $800-$1000 installed. Anyone ever install this themselves? I watched dozens of videos and doesn't appear to be difficult, just need patience with it.

Ive never done it BUT from people i know that have tried says it sucks.... one if you mess up it can look like crap and be a pain to take off once its on it stays on.. and also if you do mess up then there goes 250 down the drain... if you really want todo it yourself watch a ton of videos and maybe goto a local shop that does it and try and see how they do it to help you..

Thanks for the tips. I don't have any local shops as they are over 1 hr away from me. I have watched the videos and I had the same thought, throwing $250 away. I may end up having to drive to get it done...I would like to save the money but unsure...
