Anyone install RAM Mount Pod HD?

I wanted to install a Ram Mount HD on my 2014 Trail. I ordered the part RAM-316-HD-202U but it doesn't seem well adapted to our cars. You have to attach to the passenger seat bolt, but our rails are so close to the edge that there is not enough room to install this without pivoting it a bit. But if you do that, then the mount isn't able to seat into the rail very deep and not sure that would work well. Here are some pics

Wish I had found this sooner. Trying to install it right now and same problem. Did you ever work out a solution?

I'm not all that handy but I tried to figure something out. I took a brace, drilled some crude holes and bent it into place. The stability is terrible so I'm trying to fix that still. (I did add a washer after this photo)

i have one for sale if anyone is interested. slightly modified to work without any stability issues. comes with a ram 10" tablet mount. used for 2 years and never had any problems with it coming loose. DM me.
