Was referring to STT compound vs STT Pro compound, the Pro is updated version of STT. My experience is with the STT not STT Pro wanted to make sure that was understood. No compound change would make it oranges to oranges so what I said should hold true.

Oh, you were talking about the old 4-lug STT; I can tell you that the STT Pro does use a different compound than that. That tread compound was phased out with that tire and all tires that were made with it (Some Mickey Thompsons and Dick Cepeks) transitioned to the new STT Pro compound which I assure you is superior both on and off road.

I used to be a big BF guy, but went with yokohama with my last set of 285's and they have been far better than expected. I wouldn't have gotten them had it not been for the deal, $105 a tire. I'll be due for new tires in the spring, I'm not sure what I'm going with. Tires to me are something that are hard to be truly content and satisfied with. I have gotten 50k out of my geolander AT's and have probably 35% left. I really want to go to a C load range, the D seems extremely stiff with my Icon system.

I will say that the original BF's on my FJ Cruiser are likely going to dry rot before I wear them out, granted I just tripped 30k on them.

Both sidewalls came from the KR2 so it’s not like they stuck an all terrain sidewall on an MT.

I’ll be interested to see how these work. KM2s were trash in snow and ice but I’ve always been a fan of the KR2 and KR3 styling. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out like the old general grabbers.

Josh would these be good as a all around tire I only ask because I live in Maine and we get slammed with snow 3 out of 6 months also is it possible for me to purchase these from trail bulit with Steel wheels for my 2020 TRD Pro?
