Anyone know how to remove the double decker cargo system?

I have the double decker cargo system, which came with my 03 Runner, and I wanted to take it out and put it into my 05 Runner as it doens't come with one. I have looked at it and I can't see any visible bolts or anyting that could hold it to the truck. Does anyone know how to remove this and will it fit my new one without any cutting of fabric in the cargo area? I am unsure if it is worth it as I didn't use it that much, but sometimes I did. I definately don't want to buy another one though.

It's very easy - I removed mine.
Do a search - the instructions I used from here would be much better than I could describe.

I don't think you'd be able to put it on your 05 because the rear fenderwells would be different. The 4runners that come with double decker have a slot on their fenderwell for the deck to sit on and lock into place. I hope you understand what i mean.

Yes, I do know what you mean. I thought all Runners had them there as I thought the double cargo was just an added extra that anyone could buy. I will have to check it on my 2005. I will also search for the instructions. Thanks guys.

You can do it but there are some different parts you would need to buy to make it perfect. Like new carpet in the '03 because after you remove it there will be some open spots. Also the trim piece in the cargo area directly behind the seats and where the tie downs are. That is the piece that needs to be removed to take out the DD rack. It is also another piece that would need to be replaced and you'll see why if you remove it.

That said, do a search, this was discussed at length before.
