anyone order OME from rockyroad

Hey all

I am checking out this link for OME system.

4Runner V6 96-2002, 2-2.5" lift

Complete OME Suspension:
Includes F&R springs, F&R Shocks $617.58 (meduim or heavy duty)

Just want to know if anyone has ordered from this site or has a better place to go.

I can't speak from expereince but from what I read here is the heavy duty will handle more load (obviously) meaning the t4r will sag less in the rear when loaded down - something t4rs are known for

also - if you are going to install an after market bumper and winch you want the heavy duty to support the added weight

as far as no-load ride quality I can only imagine the heavy duty will have a stiffer feel to it.

If you want a softer ride with your lift I bet the med duty is more suited.

It all depends on you. It does not give you the model number of the coils. If you want a true 2" up front then go with 881 coils and a trim packer each side. For the rear go 890 coils with will give you about 2.25 to 2.5 after settling.

Now if you go 882 up front it will be way to harsh unless you have a winch. Do you tow?:confused:
 
I'm not sure what you mean by harsh. I drove a f250 3/4 ton in college and I love the way heavy duty pickups ride. If that means my 4runner will ride like that with the heavy duty springs then that's what i will buy.
 
i ordered that same kit, which i believe i did HD springs on the rear, and med up front because i knew i wouldnt be adding a winch. it rides somewhat harsh, but it doesnt take as many rebounds as it did to settle out, and honestly i dont mind the harshness. i would buy them again without a second thought.
 
ive been running the OME kit for 45k miles now, it still rides real smooth and is really flexy. i have an ARB bumper with a Warn 9.5xp winch in it. I ordered the heavy duty for the front and the medium for the back since the solid axle is going to ride harsh to begin with, i didnt want to make it unbearable with the HD springs and shocks back there, i may upgrade when i get a rear bumper but thats in the future. i have towed a medium size trailer with 2 4wheelers on it and it still sits almost level. it handles really nice on the road and if it wasnt sitting on mud terrains i would say it handled better than stock. if you plan on adding bumpers or winches go with the hd springs nad shocks. you wont be disappointed with this lift
