Anyone pulling a trailer with 3.4SUPERCHARGER?

Alright so im doing this for my buddy he has a N/A 03 3.4, auto, Tacoma Lifted with 35/13.50/15 toyos the truck it drives fine without the trailer.
He owns a landscaping business and pulls 3000lbs just about everyday, His taco doesnt pull it very well, on the highway the truck downshifts alot and in the city it struggles.

Hes debating on SuperCharging his 3.4 with all the fuel mods and doing the valve body later, or buying a new Taco with the 4.0, his truck is paid off so he doesnt want a truck payment.

So my questions are:
Anyone with a Supercharger ever pull a trailer in the city or highway and how far?

Does your truck downshift much on the highway?

Would he have to regear also to help with highway driving?

And how does it feel when pulling your trailer? When at a complete stop and starting to drive?

Another one of my buddies has a newer Taco with a 4.0 and said it felt effortless when he pulled a 4000lb trailer 600miles, he said he could tell it was behind him but wasnt that big of a drag to bother him. Unlike the 3.4 pulling the trailer, when hes at a comlete stop and go's its like a snail haha its just slow.

Yes, I regularly pull trailers of various weight (horses, boats, snowmobiles ,etc) with my SC'd 3.4 97 4runner. I also have the URD fuel upgrade kit and 2.2" pulley. I currently have 4.10 gears, and 285/75R16 tires.

My longest pull so far was @300 mi w/ tandem axle horse trailer over mountainous terrain. Yes, a bit of downshifting on the grades with this setup, but the flater sections were no problem.... 4.88's will be my next upgrade. I also upgraded to Tundra 231mm brakes...a BIG difference in braking power with a trailer. It doesn't pull like a Cummins, but it does a very respectable job, IMHO.

I haven't had the opportunity to pull a trailer with mine yet. I just went supercharged about a weekend ago. I can tell you this, before i had the blower and with the weight of my 4runner trying to turn the 285/70/17's it would struggle on the highway. Now it just cruises and i can actually pass people effortlessly. A huge thing that will help your buddy out is getting rid of those HUGE tires. That's a lot of weight the engine has to move on top of everything else.

You didn't mention the gearing on your friend Taco. He needs to install 4:88 gears if he is running 35" tires and with 3000lbs trailer.
