Anyone replaced their front oil seal? Any tips? Links?

I have a small oil drip in the front of my rig and I suspect it is the front main seal. Has anyone replaced this and if so, any tips/links? (Photos are always helpful!)

YES, I have searched and have not come up with much on this subject. Any help/suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Is this the crank seal? If you don't want to remove the timing belt to get to it try a high mileage oil to lessen the drip.

Simple to hard.

Check/replace the o-ring on your oil Dip stick base where it goes into the pan. Both of mine were leaking and it is a just an cheap o-ring.
If it is the front crank seal its not that hard to fix but it would be best to put off until you need a new timing kit. It is held in a housing that is bolted on the front of the engine behind the timing belt gear. I think 6-8 10mm bolts. You will need some Toyota FIPG 103 seal packing. Pretty easy just like everything on these motors.

Removing the starter on my 4WD 4R was not easy. Not the hardest thing I've had to do but a pain in the ass none the less.

Otherwise, it has been pretty easy to work on for the most part.
