Anyone running factory head unit with subs?

I need some help guys, can anyone give me some input on if you can use the factory head unit with subs? if so, what (if any) kind of adapters will i need? pics would be great... thanks a lot guys!

Ditto! Curious about this one myself. I am not going to change out my head unit because I have had my vehicle broken into way to many times. This way I can at least hide my sub under my cargo cover.

Problem with your plan is it will be a waste of time and money and you wont be happy . I played with this scenario when I bought my rig . There is a Toyota amp after your factory HU . Your feeding that signal into your sub amp . If you bypass that factory amp then the voltage ( signal ) is not enough to power your sub amp properly . My findings anyways .

Head units are cheap these days, just get a new one. They offer many more features. Just get one.

u can use the factory headunit with subs... i had that in my 4runner for the first 3 years i had it and it sounded great! I bought a scoshe blue adapter from walmart that was around $20. I just spliced my left driver's door speaker into the adapter and hooked up my RCAs form the module to the amp for the subs.
