Just wondering if anyone is runnign rancho and what their thoughts are.

Right now I have a revtek 3" front 2" rear kit.

Plans are to go to a set of toytec eibach springs for the front and a set of LC 7.75 wraps in the rear.

I've seen people note they run RS5000 for LC in the rear. Anyone know what year LC will fit. Assuming same as the coils right?

Been looking around and it looks like these are the options:

Rear - Rancho RS5208 for the LC to go with the LC coils. Check

Front -Looks like the tundra fitment RS5766 would work with a 3" lift coils based on the mounts and lenths. Adds extra travel for sure.
Upper Lower comp extd
Part # mount Mount Length Length Travel
Rancho RS5763 S51 LS44 13.500" 16.125" 2.625"
Rancho RS5766 S51 LS44 13.625" 18.000" 4.375"

Other option might be to go with the pro-comp fronts from toytec, which I think might be a better option.

Anyone have any ideas or opinions here?

I had a set of Rancho shocks in the rear of my Tacoma before I switched them to a set of Bilstein 5100's. Night and day difference in my opinion.

Love the ranchos, they are still firm 25k later, my only gripe is that the shockcover has alot of surface rust. But its a lifetime warrenty so idc.

Ok, after a call to Rancho today here is what they suggested for a 3" coil lift.

Specs Strut Comp Extd Shock Parts Pack
Part # Body Length Length Travel Parts Pack
RS5762 SS3 13.620" 18.190" 4.570" P1167

instead of the stocker 5763 for 4runner v6 or 5766 Tundra shocks
RS5763 SS3 13.500" 16.180" 2.680 P1167 (stock 4 runner V6 shock)
RS5766 SS3 13.620 17.930" 4.310 P1167 (tundra)

The 5762's fit
95-04 Taco 4wd
98-04 Taco 2wd PreRunner w/ TRD Off Road Package
96-02 4Runner 4 cyl

He said the valving the same for these and the 5763 except the 5762 doesn't have the top out spring so it has the extended length and travel.

Although I keep going back to the procomps available from toytec. They look like a better deal in the end and for an extra $100 they will put them together with a top plate for me. Makes the install a snap.

All 4?

"They blew after 4mo"? meaning all of them failed within 4mo or you only had one fail within 4mo?
Anything made can fail at anytime so to state "they" failed after 4mo would mean all 4 were short lived.

Ive read enough posts to know any brand can have a failure in a very short period regardless of cost or quality so to completely write a company off over a single failure is not fair to any of them. In fact, I have read countless posts on the net swearing that Rancho's are very good performers. Just say'n...
