Anyone running RCI skid with diff drop?

About to order one but I'm concerned about the diff drop and needing spacers. I emailed them and they say no spacers needed with diff drop. I just wanted some real world confirmation.

You will definitely need spacers to fit the RCI skid with a diff drop. Probably any skid for that matter. The spacers come in the diff drop kit.

Yes, its close to the differential so that lowering it any will hit the skid.

Thanks customer service says it's not needed. Guess I have a decision to make. I think I should take off the differential drop with the truck on the ground?

I wouldn't go removing your diff drop, or not running the skid.

Just space it down as much as needed :shrug:

Just got off the phone with RCI they have redesigned their front skid to work with or without diff drop no spacers needed. I'll let you all know how it fits.

I'm running one with a drop diff and all I needed were 1/2" spacers between skid and frame, I used metal washers to get the 1/2"

I know this is an old thread, sorry for the breach of etiquette in reopening it. I just installed RCI skids and don't have a lift but will be getting one in the near future. Did you need to use spacers with the diff drop?

Just don't run a diff drop. I have run my truck lifted (various heights but usually at 3"+) since 2008 and have had absolutely zero issues by not having one and that has included a TON of off roading. Had a lot of things I needed to address over the years but that definitely wasn't one of them.
