Anyone runs Fox 2.0 Performance Series Coilover Ifp?

I'm trying to piece together a lift for my runner and looking at what I can get locally. Originally I wanted to go with Toytec but ordering to Canada almost doubles the price with shipping and taxes. I want to run coilovers in the front for sure. So anybody runs this coilover? I've heard FOX is one of the high end shocks.

yeah fox 2.0 are nice. also look into kings. but ive got the larger dia shock. 2.5

but man if you can find some. do it. much better than toytec stuff.
 
The other option which is a bit cheaper. Swayaway RaceRunner Coilovers. What you guys think of those?
 
Have you contacted Kyle at Cochrane Toyota? They stock the Toytec lifts, and many other brands. I'm sure he can ship it to you for waaaay less than toytec's cost for shipping. Just a suggestion.

What do you mean "not a true coilover"? Am I missing something thinking a coilover is an assembly containing the shock with the coil over it?
 
That's a good question. What makes any set up a true coil over?

<2.5" diameter = Not a true coil over
>2" diameter = True coil over

?

So from doing some research the FOX 2.0 gives 0-2" lift according to their website. There are also some threads from Tacoma world where people claim that they've talked to Fox and have been told this is a mistake on their website and they give 0-3" of lift. Maybe I should call Fox myself and find out.

I want to get a 5100 series Bilsteins for the rear. What is the application vehicle they come for? There is a distributor in Canada and on their website I have to choose my vehicle. Obviously they don't come up for 2002 4runner. They come up for later years Tundras and Tacomas but all have different part numbers. So which would fit? Or am I going for a wrong shock? Please school me!

What did you find out about the lift? Is it 0-3 or 2? I am looking for a new front end lift also. Did you get the Fox's? how do they ride>?
 
I ran Fox Performance 2.0 coilovers for a decade on my '02 Tacoma. I don't know how much they've changed over the years but when I bought them they were blue. They were fine and rebuildable, which I had done once. My only complaint was they seemed to fade with moderate paced off-roading. If you're going slow or cruising the mall then they'll be fine. If you plan on cooking down washboard roads for long periods of time with tons of camping gear packed in your rig then you may want to consider a 2.5" shock or 2" with external reservoirs. Regardless though they were leaps and bounds ahead of the stock TRD shocks.

Also when I bought them they were marketed as 0" to 3.5" of lift.
 
I have these installed on my ‘01 2wd SR-5. I’ll go get a measurement and report back. Personally, I like the “stance”…but it’s not as high as some of the lifted ones I’ve seen.
 
Returns 4 days later…

I have roughly 38” from the center of the fender to the ground, running 285/70/17. Being 2wd, I feel like I got more than 2”. I wish I had taken “before” measurements…

Fender to ground isn't a very accurate way to measure. Measure center of the hub to the fender instead. Measuring from hub to fender eliminates tire size/pressure from the equation and provides a number that anyone can compare to regardless of wheel/tire combo.
