Anyone see any 2011 T4R TE?

I've been waiting for a 2011 T4R TE, anyone see one?

Anyone know what changes there? I haven't been able to find specific changes, only changes to the T4R as a whole, like no more v4 on TE.

Looks like they will remain a rare model, since you can't even build one now on the toyota website with my zip code. Only SR5 or Limited are available selections.

Yep, drove a couple on dealers lots and I pick my brand new '11 TE up this afternoon! I don't know of any changes form '10 to '11 for the TE... Wish they would have added leather stearing wheel and shifter like was rumored... Oh well.

fwiw, before i got mine i thought the lack of a leather steering wheel would really grate on me... it doesn't. at all. call me crazy, but the Trail steering wheel actually feels "right" to me.

I think I will get used to it too but it is quite a pricey vehicle to omit something like that on a surface I will touch everytime I get in is just a bit troubling to me. I will get over it though!

+1. And an added bonus, the rubber wheel won't wear out in 3 or 4 years like leather has the tendency to do!

I had a leather wheel (black) on my last SUV, it was 11 years old, still looked new! (150k on it). Then again I take care of my leather I had a friend with an explorer that was 4 years old, drivers seat was horrible, passenger seat was not much better, he never used anything on the leather. Goes to show you a little can go a long way.

It seems a 2011 Classic Silver Metallic TE with KDSS/Navigation is non-existent. Plenty of Magnetic Grey/Black TEs with those options but I'm guessing Grey and Black were the first colors off the lines in Japan. Patiently waiting for a preference or special order from my dealer...whichever comes first...

It's not the rubber wheel that bothers me it's the cheap silver plastic that covers the spokes. It's so flimsy and I'm constantly picking at it like a scab.

Yeah, it looks good but feels super cheap. Unfortunately even the leather steering wheels have that plastic piece on it.

Wouldn't it be nice to have brushed aluminum everywhere that silver shiny plastic is on the interior? I would be willing to pay extra for that. I don't know who at Toyota has a boner for that silver plastic, but it's really poor quality.

Ok I stand corrected about the steering wheel. The rubber one is actually quite nice and has a good feel to it I finally picked my TE up and drove it longer then the few short test drives I took. Maybe I am just infatuated with my new truck!

As for the rubber wheel, it's really comfy and easy to grip. I'm still on the fence about the shift knob, but it's growing on me. I have the audio/phone controls on my wheel, so the plastic acts like tactile locator for my thumb when needed.

My only wish for the 4runner is that i could find better solutions for stuffing my dog in the cargo area without hips hair getting everywhere, but that's what forum lurking and searching is for!

All in all, I'm really god damn happy with my choice, and can't wait to play with the KDSS and see what this beast can do.

2010 FJ knob fits perfect.

I have the same dilemma. With my previous 4runner, by the time i got a dog the vehicle was 5 years old, so I didnt really care about dog hair in the interior, but Im not ready for my TE interior to get dog hair all over it.

I do have a spare pickup (97 dodge ram) for doggy adventures, but Im probably going to end up getting a cargo area protector, and a plastic crate to put my dog in if i take her in the 4runner. Its actually better that way, as she will be much, much safer in the event of an accident if shes in a crate as opposed to free in the vehicle.
