Anyone swapped grille filler panel for LED's?

The grille filler panels, the small rectangular panels underneath the headlight housings, are really chipped up from rock chips over the years. Has anyone swapped these out and adapted some small rectangular LED light bar strips into them?

No, mounted on the filler panels, tied the wiring into my marker lights.

There is a forum member working on a flush filler panel LED for 3rd Gens. Search for it.
