Just a heads up...

If you're thinking about getting the AVIC-Z120BT you may want to wait a little while. In Mar/Apr '11 the AVIC-Z130BT is scheduled for release. This gives you two options, go with the AVIC-Z130BT or possibly get a better price on the AVIC-Z120BT. For me, it's worth waiting to get the AVIC-Z130BT since I want HDRadio and this has it on-board instead of an option.

The only difference in the 130 hardware is the traffic tuner and the HD radio are built-in. The 110 and 120 are the same hardware, just different software/firmware.

There is an upgrade for the 110's to be 120's, and they are planning on having an upgrade for these to be 130's. I heard it costs $200 for the 110=>120 upgrade. Worth the money as they've updated the maps, completely re-engineered the GUI, Introduced Pandora Link, introduced Music sphere and introduced the fuel eco thing-a-ma-jig....

I would save your money by buying the upgrade software, instead of a new HU, and use the money you saved to put other mods on your rig. :biggrin2:

how can you upgrade from a 120 to a 130? there's more than a software update going on: you'd need a physical traffic and HD tuner, no?

i would think those additions would make it cost prohibitive

I was talking about the software.

There were alot of improvments made between 110 and 120. I'm sure there will be a few for the 130 as well.
