Anyone use Liland Global 1998AA Radiator?

I need a new radiator, 214k miles and the inlet neck is brittle and cracked.

Was going to online order
The Toyota branded Denso or a Denso from RockAuto. They have an all aluminum
Liland Global
Radiator for $158. Don’t want to shell out for the Champion which is over $250 delivered.

Has anyone used the Liland Global rad? Just curious.

I recently installed one (edit: the liland global) and it fit perfectly. The only real "issue" is the mounting tabs were slightly tweaked for the fan shroud and I had to lightly thread every bolt before tightening down, but that's it. It also doesn't have the tabs for it to hang like the OEM rad, but you don't have to bend them out of the way like the Champion according to other threads. I sadly also don't have any pics handy, but can take some after I get home from work. It's nothing special, just an all aluminum rad in place of the OEM.

OK thanks for the update on that. The original rad lasted 22 years and 215k miles so I may just go with a Toyota branded Denso, although the new part number some people feel is not as good quality as the original.

If the aluminum one cooled better other than being all aluminum and likely stronger, it would be worth it.

For what it's worth it has been running 10 degrees F cooler everywhere. Sitting in traffic with AC on. Before with the OEM rad it would sit at roughly 195, and now it rarely tops 185.

Do you think it is running cooler because it is a new vs cruddy old rad? Or do you think it has better cooling by design/manufacture? Please post pix, I may order one...

Did you use any rubber washers between the mounting bolts? Just wondering...a plastic rad man be flexible, an aluminum one less so? Of course passenger jets seem to flex pretty damn well, just think of the seams and joints when off roading....

I flushed the entire system in prep for the new rad, and as far as I could tell it wasn't clogged/full of crud. It even had green before the previous owner flushed it and re-filled it with toyota red. Now whether the aluminum one is a better design I couldn't tell you, but it is keeping coolant temps down compared to the old one.

I have not used any rubber washers on any of the mounting bolts. As far as I can that wouldn't necessarily help prevent damage from flexing.

I'll post some pics when I get home.

FWIW, I swapped my OEM radiator and T-stat for a Denso Toyota unit ($119 for the radiator from Camelback Toyota) and I went from running @ 195-205 to running at 186 rock steady. I think part of it was due to the thermostat being installed with the jiggle valve at 12 oclock instead of 6 oclock, and some of it was because of this:

That pile of crud on the outside of the rad, low down, probable blocked a lot of air flow too. The funny thing is, the 22 year old rad in my 4runner has embedded crud in the exact same area.

Bumping this. Anyone else running it? Looks like it retains the OEM cap and has a built-in ATF cooler.
