Stock on the 4.0L engine is 1.1 bar. TRD makes a 1.3 and 1.5. I have the 1.3 on my 2004 Limited 4.0L. Reason, FWIW, is higher pressure means liquids boil at higher temps. Net says a 1.3 versus 1.1 means about 9 degrees more before coolant boils. Figure the 1.5 adds still more before it boils and steams. Con is higher pressure on system, so possibly more likely to seep/weep/leak. The TRD 1.5 is approved/rated for various Toyota cars, as well as Tacoma, 80/90/100 Land Cruisers, etc. Just wondering if anyone uses the 1.5bar version especially in hotter climes like AZ, NM, TX, etc.
