Anyone used Stop Leak product?

It usually does not work. On the other hand the radiator stop-leak works a charm. But again it only delays the real repair. Plus I do like any type of additive (at all in anything)

stay away from stop leak, fix the problem.
Stop leak can block some important passages, not a good idea.

Not only that, but many times the thermostat does not close all the way after adding Stop-leak. This is not a huge deal but if it does that, then what else is it doing! I could only stuff like this for emergency repairs (just to get back home)
thanks for everyones wisdom. I have put this in vehicles in the past.....sold them long before I found out what really happened to them. This one is a keeper so a little oil leak isn't worth it. What can I expect for a 14 year old truck? Actually, perfection, but I will try to live with it.
I haven't used stop leak, but a few ounces DOT 3 brake fluid has sealed up my 3.0 V6. I am running 0-40 Mobil 1, which finds it's way out of unsealed motors. My leak was on the drivers side, but a lot of oil ended up on the bellhousing. I added about 3 ounces to my engine oil. Ran with that for about 50 miles, this slowed done the leak a lot. I then changed my oil, and added about 1 ounce of brake fluid to the engine oil an left it in. My engine has stopped leaking oil. My mechanic told me that the brake fluid helps swell all of the seals up and will stop the leaks caused by failing seals and gaskets. I really doubt such a small about could cause any major problems, but I'm not a scientist. It worked for me and I'd do it again.
