Anyone using the Brembo 25488 rotors?

My friend's wife's 4runner is at the end of the original OEM pads life at 154,xxx miles. I am donating a new pair of PF pads and doing the work. They don't want to spend more than $100 but I found a new pair for $125. My Brembos with the Tundra brakes have been great.

And no Tundra swap, because once she finishes paying off her student loans next year, she is buying an Acura MDX and her brother gets a free 4runner for college.

Been running them for 20,000 miles. They have worked great. Still feel as smooth as the day I put them on.

Our brakes have been smooth as glass since we've had Brembo's and PF pads for a couple of months now. I bought mine here for $106 delivered and had them in 2 days.

PF is short for Performance Friction. They make a good pad for not much $$$. A little bedding in helps them go a long way. I run them on my Mazda and they do well, with only marginal brake dust on the rims. I have never used Hawk, EBC, or the like so I cannot give any pros or cons for those pads.

No link but off hand I think the number for the pad is 0436.20. I am sure they are on Amazon.

You're welcome. Here is a link for the PF pads. This company is great. They ship next day air free for orders over $50. The pads are only $33, so you will have to order an additional item to bring the order total to $50. I purchased a set of AC/Delco brake shoes for the rear.

I actually picked up the PFs at the end of 2008, for a whopping $18 at a closeout at an family owned auto parts store. Then I did the Tundra upgrade, and alas, they have been gathering dust until now. I have found that PF pads work well with a little initial bedding, then they last a long time.

The rotors came today. Nice and beefy. Only down part I guess is that they are made in the glorious PRC. But these days, so is everything it seems.

I'm with you on the "Made in PRC" thing. I put a set on the Miata and they were made there too. On the surface, the quality was impressive though, and hopefully the internals are up to spec. I think they are all made there nowadays.

I'm impressed with PF pads so far, and $33 is cheap enough. I really heated mine up when I bedded them, and got a nice coat of material on the new Brembos. I just readjusted the rears and the truck is really stopping quickly and smoothly. What I like best about them I guess is that they are made in a plant in SC, as far as I know. They have a big plant there anyways, not too far from me.
