How is it with GPS, compass, etc.?

GPS, compass arent there with the 8100. You need to use apple carplay or android auto for GPS. The 8100 is great and no issues for me. I use carplay 95% of the time with pandora and waze maps. I debated between the 8100 and a T10 headunit, glad I went with the sony 8100. It is simple plug and play and works. The T10 would require some set up and changing settings but not horrible if you like to tinker with android.

I have the T10 and it worked great for a while. I have noticed with the mic that sometimes with voice messaging it will pick up an “O” sound, probably from road noise at the start of my texts unless I time the start of my sentence just right.

My biggest issue currently is that the backup camera is working intermittently. About half the time I put it into reverse and I’ll get a caution triangle with an exclamation mark in it. It’s very in inconsistent. It worked fine for a long time so I’m wondering if this is a software issue or if I need to reset the unit? Has anyone else had this issue or know a fix?
