I was out romping around in the desert hit a mud pit and as I exited the pit (pretty fast) I hear a clank, clank.. nothing broke it just came out. I put it back in 2wd and drove home with no problems. I think the A arms extended down fully on exit.

Limit straps? Extended cv axles?

It's a 93 4runner v6 4x4 with a procomp 4" lift. 33 bfg mud.

Did you do a diff drop?

Even at 3 inches it's recommended most of the time to keep the cv axle angle reasonable...

I bought the 4runner with the lift. And no I'm pretty sure there's no diff drop. Damn it. Ok problem figured out.

Any recommendations for diff drops?

i run all of his brackets and drops. Top tier.

Bj spacers, Diff, sway, pan hard and the brake sensor or whatever its called.

Cvs have no bind at full droop, they bound enough when I installed my bj spacers where I could barely rotate the front tires by hand when it was jacked up and hubs engaged(2wd on the selector). Soon as I put the diff drop in, smooth as butter on the rotation on stands with hubs locked


Edit: you might want to do some research on the 4in lift, as I am only at 2 with my tbars and ome 900s and spacers. A 1 in drop that 4crawler offers will definitely help, but a 4 in lift is quite a height. You can relax your tbars a bit to help those cv angles as well. It will improve the front end ride quality

A 4" bracket lift has a built in diff drop, you can see it in the picture he posted.

Looks like your upper bump stops have been cut off, I would check to see if the rest of them are still there. If they are gone, limit straps may be your best option.

Thanks man. So there's no sense in dropping it any lower correct? Those lower procomp brackets are starting to wear. I was planning on making some beefier more reinforced ones.

I'd love to sas it but I really can't right now. I'm finishing up my c10.
