I’m hoping someone can educate me on the use of an Air Onboard switch to control a small LED strip. I have an AOB switch like this: https://www.aironboard.com/online/p...-oem-replacement-flux-capacitor-led-blue.html. The website says it is “rated at 12v 3 amps. Therefore in ALL cases the accessory MUST be wired through a fused relay.”
I want to control some footwell LEDs like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074CHFN1...olid=1ESL5PX6P6SV3&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it. They are 12v 0.25 amps.
I’d like to run hot from drivers fuse box #2 (instrument panel lights, 7.5 amps) using an add-a-circuit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BU59OL4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to the AOB switch to the LED strip to ground (screw next to the drivers fuse box) - without the relay… Do I really need the relay? It seems that since the LED strip amp draw is so incredibly low I don’t need the relay… but I’m no electrician.
