Is this a party-like atmosphere? If I came I'd bring 2 young kids, and would rather it be peaceful. Lol
Also, kids don't sleep well with loud noises all night. I sound like such a party pooper...

Its "party-like" during the nightly events but other than that its basically group camping and you can get plenty far away from the pavilion to not deal with the noise at all. There are also cabins available if you wish. There were tons of families with kids last year.

I would love to attend an event like this with my family. Does anyone know if they use the green routes for those of us with 2wd? I have 33's and a lift, but unfortunately that doesn't help much to get me through mud or over boulders. This is about as technical as it gets for me :lookout:

There are plenty of green routes that are very mild. I believe this is the largest privately owned offroad park in the US. I say you would be ok as long as its been dry. Id also make sure you have pull points front and rear.
I don't want anyone to get the idea that I am disparaging the event or Windrock, because I'm not- -I had a great time last year. But I like to sleep. And since this is a park that allows night runs, the sleepy and quiet campground that I closed my eyes to at 9pm turned into an all night racket of 4 wheeler's, sXs and buggies until probably 2 or 3. No one was really partying, but the amount of traffic even deep in the camping area was obscenely loud. I suspect one of the cabins would have been quieter, but camping in the park was beautiful.
I'll be back this year!

I'm going to try and make this event. It's my bday weekend. Problem is it's a little over month away from our two week trip in the blue ridge mountains lol. we will see how work goes......
