I know people just like him. His distinction is his abnormally severe cult-like dedication to Apple. Dare I say he is a top nominee for the ultimate Apple fanboy award!!!

Not worth even discussing this subject. Say something about Apple that indicates it is not perfect and he jumps off the cliff.

Bet he ignores the fact that I own many many Apple products, and that I actually like their products. All I ever did in any of his Apple threads was bring to light the deficiencies and areas of needed improvement. His response, outside of copy & pasting articles, is that one is stupid for not agreeing with his assessment of Apple.

What specifically do you guys find so unappealing about the new look for ios7? Is it honestly the color of the 3 or so icons that have changed? I find it odd that people talk about being professionals and needing to get things done and then complain about the color of the icons as if that in anyway effects your ability to get things done.

I don't like the lag of the interface and I prefer to have darker themes rather than the bright white one. It's too frosted for me. I like the transparent modern look. Not like this.

I switched from blackberry to the iPhone and I liked the dark similarity they shared. Now, it's gone forevers.

Plus a LOT of my apps still don't work with iOS 7. It's annoying

Sadly, you're probably a bigger fanboy than me. I ONLY own 2 iphones (5 & 5S) and Airport Extreme. I have had thorough experience with the two top OS in the world, Android and Apple...both very recently. And unlike you, i have done my fair share of research! It is clear that you have not...unless you claim that whining is reearch!

My research, real life. Albeit I have not given Android a good run in a long time (>2 years). Have had it all skippy BB, Droid, Apple, etc...(you would know that if you actually read and comprehended everything that I have written so far).

I do feel compelled (for some crazy reason) to explain why I have kept 2 4s's for 1 1/2 years. I have a large music & photo library. Because I am not a fanboy (testing testing, are you still reading???) I refuse to pay the $400 for each new 64Gb phone simply because it is the new one.

The icon colors and aesthetics really don't help anything. I just don't care for them. I wrapped all of my frustrations in with icon colors....not a proper thing to do and I admit that.....

Well, if you actually read MY posts, then you see that i have RECENT experience with both OS. Search for Galaxy Note 2 Review under my name. So, yeah, i know what i am talking about from both OS. Are we clear yet? Or are you still hating me?

Music and Photo...I have about 10GB of music. You're right...that is why i got 64GB models. But, then again, i could use iCloud to stream too or dump my games.

So, you kept nearly broken 4S (you claim this) for almost 2 years simply because you don't want to pay $400. Ok...how is that gonna change when iPhone 6 comes out? Sorry, no matter what, if my phone barely works, then i will dump it and lay out the cash for a new one.

BTW, your research would ALSO lead you to the fact that Android is going the way of internal memory like Apple...and so far, there is only 32GB max on most models. Even my Note 2 (which has SD card) will lose SD card capability in upcoming Android updates!! So, with Note 2, max capacity is only 16GB. And with your extensive music collection, you would need iSyncr to transfer iTunes music to your Android phone...which again leads to storage issue...since no Android right now offers 64GB of internal storage. Neither Windows i think.

Do your own research instead of "grass is greener" statements...you will understand my views better afterwards.

Either the problem is with Apples Podcast app, which should have been left in the music app instead of becoming a stand alone app. Stupid and unneeded change, that lost functionality (no longer can you make mixed playlists including songs and podcasts), OR the problem is with ios7 not transmitting the text data like ios6 did via bluetooth.

My guess is that the Apple app is the problem. I use Downcast and the podcast name is displayed on the head unit. My steering wheel controls also still work.

I *am* crazy. Just ask Thai.

I don't know...but i would NOT rule out the headunit. You need to test your setup (iphone + iOS7 + Podcast) with another headunit and see.

I am sure that you are right...but who knows where the problem is?!

I haven't run into any apps that don't jive yet, but I don't really use a lot of apps. I mainly just use pandora, safari, tapatalk, maps and facebook. as well the usual phone and messaging but everything seems to work well. I'm with Thai on the app issue though, it's the app creators responsibility to update the app to handle the new software not apple's to create the iOS around the apps unless it's an apple app.

I haven't enjoyed the lag of the interface though and i agree I'm not the biggest fan of the white screens everywhere I'd prefer a darker theme as well. I'd imagine enough people are disappointed enough about these issues that the update will run a fix.

I've always enjoyed the fact that apple doesn't really open the phone up to user customization with interface colors and that sort of thing you buy the phone organize your apps and it's ready to use. At the end of the day it isn't really important what color things are its more of how well it does what it's suppose to. It takes calls, sends messages, receives and sends email, connects to social media.

I hear a mix of "battery life sucks" and "my battery life actually improved" The life of the battery strongly depends on how your phone is used. If your playing candy crush for hours then yeah the phones gonna die very rapidly. If you charge your phone continuously it will deplete the quality of the battery causing it to not last as long. Also if your wifi is on and not connected its using power searching for a connection. Same with blue tooth and location services. Turn these items off when they're not being used. I plug my phone in at night going to bed around 10, unplug it about 6 in the morning getting up and it's at 85% battery still at 5 in the afternoon. Even with plenty of texting, phone calls, emails, google searches, facebook, pandora, etc. In my opinion I could care less who makes the iphone, I like it because it does what i need in the simplest fashion.

Mine too. If you go into Settings > Accessibility > Assisted Touch, you can set it so there's a touch button on the screen that takes you back to the home screen. Takes some getting used to though but it beats getting stuck in an app.

I know on the 5 the home button is easily replaced. You could check with apple and see how much it would cost to replace it if it's feasible.

I got a new phone about a month ago free because my volume down button wouldn't work evidently they can't replace the volume buttons like the home button lol. The hardware warranty lasts a year.

Same thing happened with me. My down volume button was jammed and they just gave me a new phone. :eyebrows:

Wasn't there a way to "re-train" your home button to get resposiveness back on older iPhones? If you haven't already, then Google.
