Applied Opti-Lens and Opti-Glass

If you notice on the 4R's 2 front door windows there's a coating on the factory glass that repels water and rain. They sell a product now that you can apply yourself that is just about the same stuff I believe. It's called Opti Glass. It is a permanent coating. I recently had my windshield replaced so it was a good time to do it. I applied it on all my windows and it works great. On my Lexus vehicles it is on all the windows including the windshield. On my 2001 it still works like the day I got it. On my 2006 it is even better. You use your wipers so much less.

The other product they have is for your headlight lens. After you have your lens in perfect shape you apply this product. It is extremely high in UV protection. I have heard great success stories on this stuff. Time will tell if it does it's job on my headlights. If i had a new car I would put this stuff on pronto!

For best results you will want to polish your exterior glass just like you would your paint. You won't believe all the buildup you acquire on the glass over time.

My old '00 4Runner has a coating on the windshield that behaves like Rainex. It is pockmarked though and looks terrible when the glass is dry. It's still the original Toyota windshield. I wonder if the coating needs to come off to recoat. If so how do you remove it? Are the bottles you linked enough to do more than one windshield?
