Appologies From Matthew Starr

To start, this isnt an asking for forgivness please let me back.

I just wanted to appologize to everyone for what I said. I realize not everyone one will agree with me on everything I do and I can go a little over board with my outlandish statements and opinions.

The reason for my out-lash wasn't because of people critisizing me, it was just the negativity and lack of support towards doing performance modifications to 4Runners. I kinda felt like I was a fat chick hangin out with the cheerleaders. And to top it off, sh*t pretty much hit the fan for me today, and I just kinda lost it.

So again I appologize to everyone, especially the addmins and moderators of this site. This really is an awesome site and even though I won't be posting threads or replys anymore I'll still be checking in and reading cause there is still tons of awesome 4runner info on here.

Oh p.s. to anyone who lives in the Denver area I'll be doing the Wednesday night drags up at Bandimere starting in april if you wanna come check it out. It's only $10 for spectators. And for anyone who wants updates on my 4runner project I'll be continuing it on yotatech and on youtube under the same name.

Thanks again,
Matthew Starr

Sorry you felt the need to bail out, and you really did it in a poor way but it looks like you already realized that. If you read the rest of the thread that you started you probably read a lot of the posts that stated that this was the nicest (people-wise) 4Runner forum online, and I would definitely agree with that. My advice to you in the future is just don't act like you know things that you don't, and don't claim some hard to believe things without being able to back them up with proof.

I have no ill feelings against making a 4Runner "fast." It's not my cup of tea but I will never bash someone for something that they built. I will, however, bash for making false claims at least until proving otherwise. I never claimed that you were dumb for wanting to make your 4Runner fast or that a 4Runner could never be fast. Your initial post made it sound like your bone stock 4Runner was faster than a 03+ v8, which just isn't true. Good luck and it sounds like you are definitely on the right track as far as learning all you can about these awesome trucks.

Matt, sent you a pm on cardomain. Hit me back, I'd like to see how your tune goes and catch one of your shows. You guys rock!

Thanks for the note. I was the one that banned you. It kind of got my attention, the title of your thread, but I guess that was the point. I am sorry to feel you had to post that thread.

If anyone feels they are attacked, please let the moderators know. We try to make this site friendly.

Good luck with your posting on yotatech and youtube. I did not ban you IP, if you wish to post under the name "Matt Star" feel free to do so, if not enjoy your 4Runner.

i can understand where you are coming from. you have a bad day, nothing goes right, you seek support but you dont find it with those who seem that should be there. and in the end, you take it out on the wrong people sometimes. this forum is a user friendly site. though you gotta understand that a majority of owners use their rig for off road. i myself would be interested in how to make my 4runner a little faster than it is but, i just gotta accept the fact that its not gonna be a rocket. you gotta expect to that you are gonna get criticised and made fun of no matter what you do. 4runners here range from a bunch off nicely equipped off road rigs to rigs like foshezzy's and move120's nicely pimped out rides. everyone's taste is different. no hard feelings here but just dont take everything to heart cause you'll never achieve your goal that way.

Very well said :bigok:

ill chime in since we had some conflict in previous posts and say that you actually had some pretty informative writeups on the electric fan deal , i was actually interested in what kind of engine work was done that it had to be such a big secret. I dont like for anyone to feel unwelcome but some of the statements were a little over the top (which you already admitted) and i was just trying to clear it up and figure it out. You cant expect people not to voice their opinion and some ( like me) maybe dont think it through before saying whats on their mind. Like some of the others have already said, this is a very helpful group of guys and are much more well mannered than some of the other boards. By all means good luck with your build and if i stepped on your toes i apologize, i was really more ribbing you to get more info on the internals of your engine after the rebuild.

Matthew you manned up. way to go. Takes a big man to say he is sorry. Look forward to your posts.........and by the way would love to see a vid of your 4Runner off the green.

Welcome back.

i agree, very well said. I'm in awe that you put me on the same level as fosheezy :)

Well it took me a good 10 minutes to catch up on what the hell is happening, but DWAAAAAAAMN.

It's like an episode of the real world up in here! Real World: T4R.ORG edition coming to your local stations soon. :D

Matt, I love what you are doing to your rig. I tried desperately to find more info on Zubaltec's 4Runner , and most people out there with S/C setups are either off-road types, or mechanics themselves who for whatever reason don't post much info up.

I see sites like Gadget Online and Project SportRunner ... and wish I could do the same. This has been fun because I feel like I am watching the process from the start...

Please keep us posted on your progress. :bigok:

where i live, i see 4runners with bling bling rims that IMO look stupid. in order for rims to look good on a 4runner, they have to flow with the body. you and foshezzy have seem to have found the right rims that look good on the 4runner. i personally prefer the 99+ plus limited 5 spoke rim with a nice beefy tire. then a gain, i like to keep it simple :)

Thank everyone. I deffinately would have to agree that this is one of the most user friendly websites I have ever used. What CSL said in my angry thread was actually what kinda helped me out.
He said and I quote "Your last post slaps all of those folks in the face too. I replied to one of yours with nothing but positive feedback and even a stupid idea/question I tried to contribute. You only responded to the negative posts and never to mine...??? Perhaps the negative is more entertaining to you on a subconscience level??" I guess I did only care about the people who disagreed with me.

I went to yotatech and pirate4X4 and even some tuner websites and not only did I find less support for my build, I actually found no support. So if everyones ok with it, Im gonna stay here.

I finally discovered how make video with my digital camera, so by the end of the week I'm going to post a video walk around of my 4runner that will show and discuss all of the mods. I will also make a video of all of my recent discoveries of more maintanance related stuff that isn't commonly found on the net.

Thanks agian everyone for your support,
Matthew Starr

You know Move just took Fo_Sheezy's old rims right? Or are you talking about Fo_Sheezy's new Rockstars?
