April 9th meet planning

Bobby. I didnt think the Silverstars would be much of a challenge for you!!!! The Dremmel Tool would be handy in that it appears there is an additional antenna under the main antenna on the Scion HU that needs to be "dremmeled out" I believe as per other posts that is where the XM antenna will go.

Karl...No worry as an NYPD shirt has been reserved in your name long ago.
Are the hot college babes comming or what. I want to use the "dremmel"!!!!!!!

A Dremil is good for enlarging an existing hole, but making one large enough is a chore without a proper drill. But not impossible.

I can bring my regular drill if Bobby is not bringing one, just let me know. I did the same mod for my Scion, so it is easy enough to do.

As for the college Girls, that was Mark86's job . . . still waiting to hear if he is coming . . . sounds like Bobby's S.O. will be right- bunch of car nerds hanging out together :)

Thanks Karl. If they arent comming perhaps passing women will be impressed by "our cool rides". Then again probably not. :(

I just happen to have a drill and brand new sharp drill bits :D.

That'll add about 15 mins to the install since we have to take the radio apart. The metal is pretty soft so that helps ease the install.

Excellent- I will save on gas milage as I won't have to lug my heavy drill down with me :)
On the way back from a late night fire call, I realized now that we have all these mods to do, it will probably rain. And guess what they are calling for????
Hopefully we are far enough out that the weather will be better than it looks right now :nono:

Forecast is for a few showers. I don't think it'll be a problem. We can look for puddles to run thru :D.

Don't you think we should have a nice day to meet? Looks like rain all day, slowing up in the evening.

We can meet sooner to check your speedo.

I started the by-pass install. I spent last Sat. crawling under the truck and ended up pulling a muscle in my chest, so I had to stop. I did get to fab a bracket and install the mounting block. I found a GREAT location. The only thing I have to do now is install the braided hoses and change the oil.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the pulled muscle.

You know, you and I live a town apart and Drew and I work a town apart. We should get together for a drink or something.

Re: The potential for bad weather on saturday. Does anyone think this should be postponed. Rain personally doesnt affect me. Any thoughts????

Postpone for a little rain??? Am I hanging out with a bunch of girls? :p

There's only a 40% chance of rain later on in the day. By then, we should be up at the 7 lakes and there's some shelter there.

Besides... my truck needs a car wash :D.

It seems like so far no one is happy with the weather situation, but we are all willing to deal with it. I am more inclined to do the meet as scheduled, and we can always plan something for next month anyway. It is still a few days away, hopefully the weather guys will be wrong . . .. . . .

Its not like a storm is predicted. A few showers and thats if they are right. Lets face it how often do they make an accurate forecast????

Hey we are "manly men" with Toyo 4Runners!!!!!!:awais:
