April 9th meet planning

What's the deal, are we still going to meet. Maybe we should meet somewhere we could get out of the rain (for lunch).

Koz

Koz-

Looks like everyone is still willing to show up. I would suggest leaving the same meeting place, just to keep things simple, then we can head elsewhere for lunch. There are a few places I know of up near Bear Mt. if we end up driving up that way.

Karl

So we're still meeting at the rest area (first one after exit 1 on the northbound-side of the Palisades Pkwy) at 10 am right?

Same time and same place, sounds good to me. Keep those family band radios on, I will likely be lost. Hopefully within five miles, the range of my radio :) (Channel 5-0)

Karl,

I'm interested in the WAAG front grille and rear bumper guards, It'll be nice to see they before buying. I'll be there.

Koz

Koz-

I'm pretty happy with both the front and rear guards from Waag. Glad I can show you something useful. See you tomorrow.

Karl

Yep, it's still on.

First rest area/lookout point after exit 1 northbound.

FRS channel: 5-0
CB channel: 23

See ya there!

Looks like for once the weathermen will be right. One crappy day. How are we going to do these mods in a downpour?????

Maybe there is a parking garage somewhere nearby??? Or on the way up North???

I just got my fog light switch and my knight rider lights, so God knows I have work to do :)

Should the weather really be bad/unworkable lets let oneanother know if we are cancelling via posts in the AM prior to the meet. Night all......!!!!!!!

It doesn't look too bad.

There's covered parking at Riverside Square Mall, Garden State and IKEA if it's really that bad. I think there's a few places I can think of in Fort Lee with covered parking too.

We'll meet at the rest area and play it by ear.

Alright people, it looks like this is ON . . . So I am leaving the apartment at 6:30 AM tomorrow to stop by work and then head down to NJ, so call me at 860 268 4093 if everybody else wimps out :) I will be there, tools in hand, rain hat on!

Karl

I'm there unless i hear otherwise. See you guys in the morning. I will be on FRS channel 5-0 with all my stuff ready for mod/install.

efing holidays

So, i was going to come, but i forgot that this weekend was Passover. Man, nothing like having like 30 relatives over for the holiday. Hope there was a good turnout, and i'll def. make the next one

Oh, and sorry for hijacking but bobby's PM mail was full

Cheers

Drew, funny you should mention that. I was really upset that I couldn't attend the meet and was really thinking of trying to make the trip. Then I told my parents my dilema and they said where are you going, don't you know it is Passover tonight? I totally forgot about the holiday approaching because it is usually at the beginning or middle of April. Drew, I hope you and your family have a happy and healthy Passover!

Drew and Mark,

Sorry you guys couldn't make it, we had a good time and lots of good stories (ask Scott about his XM radio).
Drew- From what Bobby tells me, the reason you couldn't make it is because you had a V6. :)

Karl

The meet was fun and very productive atleast for me. Due to the combined "team effort" of Ed, Bobby, Karl and Koz we managed to do the following while escaping most of the rain and having a nice lunch together:

Install of Lund Avenger Hood Deflector
Install of Silverstars Low Beam and Fogs
Install of A Scion T1804 H.U. swapping out the OEM
Install of a Roady2 XM Radio used in conjunction with a PIE Toy-Aux 03 Aux. Adapter.
Great time and an outstanding group!!!!! Thanks for all the help and it was a pleasure hanging with you. We even mangaed to get a few looks as we "convoyed" up the Palisades!!!!!

I even made it to family for holiday dinner!!!!
