ARB 2 inch coil lift - Pix

Finally got around doing the 2 inch coil lift with the comfort shocks. The rear shocks aren't the comfort shocks so I got shafted with sport shocks that make it really crappy. They're valved really stiff and I noticed it even with my factory springs right after I replaced them before I installed the springs.

I went ahead and ordered the $20 shock shields which are pretty worth it IMO if you 4x4 a lot.

I really like the new soft ride up front. In person, the truck definetly looks higher off the ground. Now, next up, some 2 inch wheel spacers and get rid of the damage multiplier and start working on my custom rear bumper with the spare tire swing away rack. I'll be making my own custom front bumper that kind looks similar to the ARB. I like the ARB Sahara beefy looks but its friggin massive! But maybe I'll get lazy and end up buying a Sahara bumper for my 4Runner. We'll see.

Before you get the tire mount though, you should probably tighten the spare tire because it looks like it's having a fun time bobbing around back there

LOL no I actually welded up a bar to push the spare downwards from the back so It can clear my left exhaust pipe. I'm getting tired of people honking at me and caring enough to tell me my spare tire looks like it's falling.

I've been planning on making a unique rear bumper after seeing the FourWheeler 5th gen rear bumper. I'm not a real fan of how people make the rear bumpers look, especially the sides, but then again, their rigs are more trail dedicated than my rig. I'll be making some beefy rails to go right behind the factory outer bumpers to support a high lift jack and keep the stock look. The center section will be removed and in its place will be your typical HD bumper with an integrated hitch and a swing away tire rack with Jerry can/license plate support. We'll see what happens, but first, I gotta finish up some other project cars before I get to that. Gonna have to mount the tire on the roof rack or put it inside.
