ARB bumper on order, What winch?

I have an ARB bumper on order, but Im not sure what winch to go with or what will fit. Ive been looking at either a Warn (because of their warranty) or the Superwinch. Any Suggestions?

I think SuperWinch has standard synthentic line as opposed to the WARN brand...not really sure.

Depends on what winch you get the rope comes with. Been awhile since I've done a ARB on any Toyota. But If I do remember right they only fit a external solenoid winch. It's no problem....you just have to look for those. I have seen all winches and have seen them all break or burn out. Still, with the Warn you never go wrong...I have 3 and will not buy another brand. I would not want to be stuck and have to rely on anything but.
About the only winch I would stay away from is the T-max.
If you go for the Warn they make a 8 and 9000# is the weight you are looking for. If you have the funds get the rope. It adds a ton to the cost but if you have to use it all day your body will thank you for it. Plus they have better hooks. Not to mention if you do break one you will not lose any limbs when it comes flying off. WeRock and other 4X4 racing clubs will not allow wire anymore on the courses as per safety. Sorry about the long post......LOL

Edit: For winches, I always tell my customers you get what you pay for.

I use the Warn 9000 in My ARB.

I used an M8000 on my Taco. Before I installed it I swapped in the synth line - this was very easy to do. (Unspool the line and it attaches with 1 bolt) Consider swapping lines when you price winches.

I then coiled the wire line up, took a nice picture of it, and sold it on eBay to offset the cost of the new line.
