ARB Diff Breather question

Just installed the arb diff breather. The line was a pain in the ass. Because it was wounded in the packaging when I went to thread the line, certain parts of the breather line became pinched. Is there a concern for this? One pinched area got worn real quick, is there any hazard to having a punctured line if the line is mounted up above the exhaust?

Any puncture that ends up below water could cause an issue. After all, the whole purpose of the ARB breather is to get it high and out of the way of any water. Also, any air sucked in through that whole would be bypassing the filter in the ARB breather kit. Not sure how important that is. It is my understanding that the whole purpose of the ARB diff breather kit is because when the diff cools it can suck in air thru the breather. If the breather is under water it sucks in water.

Or, if the factory breather locks up like it's supposed to, it creates a vacuum in the system and you suck water through the axles for a real shit show.

I forgot about that whole axle thing. Of course if you just stay out of the water you can do without it.

I'm in a mountain desert environment with steep terrain. Everything heats up from ambient and use. Then I cross a 45 degree mountain stream along the trail. No option to avoid. The remote breather is a bit of a chore to sort out, but the peace of mind is worth it.
