ARB- How do I know it will fit?

Yep, stupid question. I bought a used ARB from a guy who said it was on his uncles 96 T4R. I now decided that I don't want the ARB, I'm looking into going custom. I was writing up my ad to sell it here, when I got to thinking that I am not positive this will fit a 4Runner. I don't want to sell it to someone only to have it not fit their truck. Any indicators that this is the Taco ARB which works with our 3rd Gens? Any measurements I could take that would prove one way or the other?

this will not work with 1st gen tacoma or 3rd gen 4runner, the mounts are different, its either fit pretaco or 2nd gen 4runner

that looks like a prado version. it should fit just fine, but i'm not 100% sure on the mounts since i've never seen prado arb mounts.

That is definitely NOT the tacoma bull bar (ARB Model # 3423020). The mounts are wrong, and the uprights that support the tubing are wrong... they look just like the prado bar.

If it is indeed the prado bar (ARB Model # 3421010), it will fit the 4Runner, but it is wider and sticks out farther toward the front than the Taco bar.

Those mounts don't look like my Taco ARB mounts, but I know ARB changed the mounts within the last year or so. Just not sure how the newer ones look. The bumper itself looks pretty close to mine, except for the rubber pads are different than mine (and I don't have that "W" Warn cut out in the front). The part # for mine is 3423020/30. I have a sticker on the inside/driver's side of the bumper. If you have a sticker there and it's a different part #, I would call ARB to make sure. I'm thinking this may be a 2nd gen 4runner bumper.??

EDIT: Wow, these guys are fast! ^^

i had a prado bar earlier this year and sold it, but before i sold it i called ARB and asked them what the bumper was actually for, as i wasnt sure, not was the guy i got it from. it came off of his 3rd gen 4runner but when i put it up to mine wow there was some big gaps. so i looked over the bumper, and on the inside of the bumper, in one of the lower corners, i think the drivers side front lower corner there are two tags tack welded into the bumper with numbers stamped into them, one is the serial number and the other is ARBs product number, i just gave ARB USA a call read them the number and they told me exactly what it was for

fyi for what its worth, that looks identical to my old prado bar, its not a taco bar, i can tell you that, cause of the big "W" cut out in the front of the bumper, taco bars dont have that
