ARB Lockers

I wanted to work on getting front and rear lockers. I am mechanical but dont' know if i could do lockers. Are they difficult to install? DO you need to change gearing?

Does the ARB kick come with all i need besides the compressor?

Does anyone know the cost of installation if i feel it might exceed my comfort level. I am willing to try as long as no major modifications need to be made to existing parts, more of replacement.

Do the lockers affect the traction control system and cause the computer to got crazy! lol. i just want to not get stuck very easily.

Are their any other option besides ARB lockers?

Thanks for any information.

I'm sure others will chime in soon but I believe the locker is not going to be a simple operation. I know a hole must be drilled for the line and the 3rd member and gears removed which isn't terribly hard.

But I believe the gears have to be setup again once installed on the 3rd member and that's not for the faint at heart and requires some special tools. It can really go wrong if everything isn't perfect.

Sounds kinda dumbed down but I've looked into it before and determined that it was beyond my mechanical ability which I typically like to think is pretty solid.

edit- I'm sure some googling will give you a better answer.

It could be daunting. I looked at buying them as a complete 3rd member from east coast gear, but I might just opt to have them professionally installed. I am pretty mechanical, but this might be beyond my limit. Unless I could find someone local with more tools & skills to help.
