Did some searching and unless I missed something I could not find an answer so here goes...

Does anyone know if I can fit any of the following winches into this particular front bumper?

1. Warn 9.0Rc
2. Superwinch Rock 95
3. Superwinch EPi 9.0 s

Sorry if this has been posted before and if not thanks in advance for any input.

none of those will fit without heavy modification. why are you trying to put a rock crawling winch inside a 4runners bumper? the only purpose to a RC winch is light weight.

go with a warn 9.5xp or m8000 and it will fit just fine.

you have to get one with a seperate control box.

I was mainly looking at those because of the synthetic winch line. I had the 9.5 Ti on my jeep and loved it but when I sold my jeep the winch went with it, I doubt that one would work either though.

The Warn 9.0Rc will easily fit, but since the mounting bolt pattern is smaller you will need an adapter plate. A 1/4" thick plate with two sets of holes (one the match the bullbar and one to match the winch) would be easy to make and fit. The control box can be mounted anywhere.

But for me, the 50ft line length on that winch is way too short. I'd end up carrying 50lbs of extension straps to compensate... I agree with Runnerup and Elton, go with the 9.5 fitted with synthetic line. The end weights will be very close.

Yeah it is pretty short, I could get an additional 50' though. I Dont think I am going to get the Warn Rc winch though, I think that the only warn winch I would go with right now would be the 9.5 Ti. I am going to contact the guys over at Schrockworks and see what they say about it.

the TI will not work, you HAVE to have a control box that will seperate from the winch, unless you want to cut a hole in your bumper

your also going to have to rotate the motor on the winch so the drain holes work

Okay well that is good to know. Thanks for the reply runnerup.

Well how about this, does anyone know, or have experience with the warn winches that are compatible? The reason I am concerned is that I am moving up to Maryland in a couple of months and I dont feel comfortable shelling out that kind of money for something that isnt going to survive the weather up there. Thanks everyone.

i have the 9.5xp in my ARB, it failed a few times at first ( motors were soaked) and then when i gave up on the shop getting it right i installed it and rotated the motor on it so the drain holes worked and its been just fine ever since.
