No that is incorrect information the 5100s can and certainly have been installed on 4runners with KDSS

Try searching with 2015 model year instead of 2016. They are the same but often times websites are slow to update compatibility charts.

You could also use one of the site vendors, Toytec, Total Automotive Performance or Wheelers Off Road, get it for that price and usually a discount. They also are very helpful and will make sure you're getting what you want. TAP also said they will usually price match.

many of my family members own 4runners and use Bilsteins. It goes like this, Bilstein shocks are like a swiss army knife.......from wall mart. there are crappier and there are better, but these are are the direct middle grounds for shock selection.

It all depends on what you want out of it. Are you trying to lift front and back? Do you need new front springs to lift the front with 5100's? No. Will there be a different feel between the two? Yeah. Do you need springs or spacers to lift the rear? Yes.

Looking to level out the truck and add a little lift and improve ride (mostly pavement and potholes). Something like what you did to yours. Just not sure what parts i need to get. Sounds like a need to buy the full suspension kit plus some rear spacers? Your truck looks cool. Did you put bigger tires too or jept stock size? I looking to keep stock tire size 265/70/17.

Torn rear boot?

I have had my 5100s on my truck for roughly 2000 miles now and have only been off road a few times with them. I noticed today as I was under the truck that the rear boots on both sides are torn and no longer in the original position from when they were installed. has anyone else had similar issues? Should I be looking into replacing the boots as soon as possible or does it really not matter?

I'm a believer.



I only have about 2000 miles on my set up, but so far I'm blown away. The ride and handling has been excellent. Smooth yet firm with the stock springs. No more brake dive then my stock 2011 Grand Cherokee.
