are generic cold air intakes a good idea?

so i checked my air filter yesterday and it is filthy so i was going to go get a regular K&N for the stock setup but then i started wondering if i should just upgrade to a CAI like AEM or K&N. Those are a little too much for me though BUT I found this generic one on ebay for about $170 less than K&N. I dont know if I should get it though because for one the brand is "BOMZ" and two it is completley different than K&N.

The only picture I saw there was of a short ram intake/ not a true cold air intake(All the way into the fender well) of course that is from the website you put up not the Ebay since I cant get into Ebay (At work..lol) . but At this point anything is better than the stock air box which is very restrictive.
Mine is a short ram as well and I can tell you the butt Dyno says the throttle responce is faster/better.
