Are the 03-05 4runners considered 4th gen?

Just picked up 05 4runner Limited and WOW, Im impressed so far, being a die hard Ford guy for life. The Explorer Limited did have 2 seat position memory, power plug in 2nd row seating, back up sensor, but the limited 4R has about everything else. The rear side window defrost is a great idea too! Glad I found the forums!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new 4Runner. You will definitely enjoy this truck. Did you get your Limited with navigation? If so, then you would have a backup camera which is just as good as backup sensors.

Welcome, yes the Limited is SWEET, but those rear side window defrosters are not defrosters, they are two radio antennas. The system will select the one that offers the strongest signal.

Thanks guys, no navigation or rear camera, but sounds like an even better option than just the beeper. TWO antennas? thats a cool idea if it makes for better signal
