Are there any filters in the air vents?

Are there any filters to replace in the side and center air vents?

My parent's had an early 90's BMW and vents were barely blowing. Turns out the were some filters to replace and there was some 10 years worth of crap stuck in the filter.

Do 4Runners or Tacomas have anything like that?

well 2003+ cars started to be equipped with "cabin air filters" (usually in/being glove box) but others have a, loose filter,

it has many big spaces so air can pass threw, that
