Greetings:

I am wondering if there are any lockable valve stem cap in the market. If so, any input is greatly appreciately. Effectively, I am sicked and tired of being stealed. I don't understand what are so special about 04 4 Runner OEM valve stem that people keep stealing them.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

I use a socket to tighten my up and you cant unscrew it with your hand!:D I guess it's good and bad thing cause if they cant steal it they will probably do something else to damage your car. or they can just take it and leave:bash:

EDITED: also I rub a little oil/grease on the cap too just to make sure!:biggrin2:

Kids use those on their bycicle tires, looks cooler than cheap plastic ones. Watch for your Toyota caps on bikes, then take the whole bike away. :D

I remember seeing some at trdparts4u.com.

It also came with a keychain thing that doubled as the key to the valve stem.

The "locking" stem covers I've seen could be easily stolen with a small screwdriver--not my idea of security. I've avoided anything worth more than a few dollars because anything more than that is stolen. Its frustrating, but it is hard for me to get mad. I remember being a kid and always wanting to make my bike look better than everyone elses. :D

Thank you all for your help and entertain response. ;):

I browse and search the web site for "valve stem cap", "valve cap" and the result is empty. May be it is no longer available.

Thanks for the link. That might work. It's kinda expensive for 4 pieces of ABS. I wouldn't mind to pay that price or higher for a better quality Valve stem.

If you get stolen 5, 6 times a year. You do the math. It does make sense to pay $40 for the valve stem. I don't care much about the look. I just like the quality, durability and most importantly air tight.

Daibutsu, thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I just bought them at Griots Garage for almost $50 including S/H. Since they aren't expensive, I think I will also buy these as well just in case.
