Are these stock options on a 1987 4runner?!

I'm looking into this 1987 4runner: 1987 4runner - Imgur
can anyone tell me if the side decals and the interior were options or are they aftermarket? The truck overall looks pretty clean. Any other observations?

The stripes I don't think are original, maybe put on at dealer or previous owner.
The wood grain interior doesn't look right either, but it looks good.
Same with the big cushion on the steering wheel.

The fabric on those seats look a lot like the material on my '87 SR5 seats. I was under the impression that my seats were re-upholstered at some point.

Thanks for the info... exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. It can be very difficult trying to unravel the history of these rigs. How can you tell it is a DLX model? The lack of gauges?

That's correct, also the lack of sunroof, power mirrors, power windows etc. Just compare the pic. above and you'll see.

My '89 DLX is a real economy model as was my '88 4Runner that I bought new for $12500 at the end of the model year (Nov 88). It has a vinyl floor and vinyl seats. I've seen other DLX's on here with a cloth option so not every DLX was bare bones. I remember other 4Runners were on the lot with power everything for I think about $18k. The wood you have is probably an add on that was available, laser cut wood trim. You could get it from JC Whitney but it's also the kind of thing an enterprising dealer would add for more profit. I'm ashamed to say I got it put on my new 1997 along with the jiggy gold emblems. Had to have. There used to be tons of accessories you could buy for a 4Runner. I suppose they quit making them as the vehicles have gotten so old. I got a neat set of 1st gen diamond plate rockers off eBay a couple of years ago that were made by Northwest Off Road. I can't decide if they're too Jeepy. I'd love to see a thread of forgotten aftermarket parts for 1st gens. The Kayline soft tops would go there too. Your 4Runner is in excellent shape.
