Are Wider wheels ok?

I am looking at getting some new wheels, but the ones I really like are 18 X 9.. my current wheels are the limited 18s, but I don't know what the width on them is. I imagine mine are narrower. So does anyone know the width of the limited 18s? And does switching to a wider wheel have any disadvantages? Thanks!

shouldn't be a problem. your prob gaining about 1 inch in width and that shouldn't give you any issues other than a better looking stance. post up some pics of what you decide.

Ok great! And to clarify, would that extra inch be out from where my current tire is? Or would it be half inch further out on the outside of the tire, and half inch further in the wheel well?

That would depend on the off-set of the new wheel... do you know the specs?

As mentioned, offset will be critical.

I have 17 x 9" wheels with -12mm offset and they stick out about half an inch (and rubbed the fender a little before adjustments)...see the thread below for details.

The OEM Sport wheel is 17 x 7.5 +30mm, so in my case I gained the .75" of width + the offset moved the tire out 30 + 12mm = 42mm (1.65 inches), making it 2.4 inches further out than my stock wheel. If your OEM wheel is 18 x 7.5 +30mm (not sure), you'll probably have to adjust the fenders on an 18 x 9 wheels with negative offset; positive should alright and get a bit iffy toward zero offset.

Wide wheels look nice on the T4r (IMO), good luck with your hunt.
