Just because you're a redneck, country, what have you, does not mean it is acceptable to be illiterate. We don't ride around on horse drawn carriages anymore, and I will go out on a limb and say that if you are afforded the internet then you were afforded the opportunity to go to school and learn proper grammer.
For the record I was born in Beaufort, SC, grew up on a farm in TN so I consider myself country, however I take pride in having the ability to carry on a half-way intelligent conversation.

If we're on the subject, it bears pointing out that your second sentence does not strictly adhere to accepted English sentence construction rules.
Additionally, the dash in your third sentence could be replaced by a comma, with the dash following the word 'no.' Alternatively, the word 'no' could be followed by a period, and the last three words of the post would form their own sentence. Of course, the word 'far' would need to be capitalized.

Hmmm...well I do live on the countryside of the island and I do live on a farm...I would definitely hate living in the city and I drove to the store once on a tractor. But, I am asian and English was my best subject...so I guess you decide :nerd:

This conversation certainly did not go the direction I was expecting from the first post. Then again, this is the internet and we all know the internet is serious business! Funny thing about stereotypes is we're all opposed to being lumped in with whatever group because there are always a few bad seeds that make you want to stand out from that generalization. Yet marketing uses these generalizations to sell you most of the products you buy, from TP to off road tires - and it works no matter how much you want to fight it.
Regardless, whomever made the point that redneck is like using the "n" word is barking up the wrong tree. For example, in St. Louis, calling someone a hoosier is similar to calling them a redneck or hillbilly. But, you go to Indiana and that is more of a compliment. Or should I say, a way of life. However, to answer the original questions, I do not consider myself a redneck (hoosier) or a city boy, but rather someone that likes what they like. I enjoy spending free time in nature camping, floating, hiking, etc. But enjoy the benefits of living in the city such as having a hockey team, not having to travel for concerts and keeping the wife happy :girl: with various malls. Then again, I don't live in a "real" city like Chicago, SF or NY. Which is a good thing because I'd probably loose my mind being around that many people.

Because of my born and bred physical location in Appalachia, and also because of my verbal "drawl" I have been called both hillbilly and redneck. That is fine with me as both tags have roots going back to hard working people not afraid to get dirty for a day's pay. I think it's funny that some of you either A) Scoff at "hillbillies and rednecks" thinking they are unintelligent, toothless morons or B) Try to be a weekend redneck or C) Secretly like all the redneck and hillbilly ways yet rise above it around your peers.

I seriously doubt many of you could even carry these guy's beer.
Speaking of beer, I like Bud - and Modelo Especiale. I don't like NASACR but love F1. I also have all my teeth and my IQ is fine, even when drinking beer.

Not quite sure what we breed here in Montana...pretty much Country Folk with some City folks around here.
I can rack up 13 guns in my rig, and there are always at least 2 in there, fishing pole never leaves the rig, my dog is always in there with me, me and my lovely lady hunt, fish, and drink whiskey together.
I am also probably the #1 guy you would want to stop if you broke down somewhere! Got all the supplies a guy could have on the road and happy to share!
I don't care for the "Red-neck" label, as I think of those folks as the ones with fake testicles hanging from their trucks, and who want to fight because they couldn't get their dumb-ass laid that night.
So, whatever the correct label is, I think I qualify for what you are seeking.
